Eight years ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis. After a couple of years with this auto-immune condition, I realized that there was no one I could talk to about Endo – thus me starting endoNme on Instagram. I was able to connect with so many different Endo sisters. To this day, two of my closest friends I met on social media have endometriosis! As time grew on, I realized that there was so much more to me than just Endo. My body is an entire system that you have to treat well. Mind, body, & soul.
Within the last three years I have connected with various companies and organizations to spread awareness about endometriosis. It has been nothing short of amazing! The Endo community have embraced and welcomed me and for that I am truly grateful. I’ve grown not only as a women, but as an advocate for all who can relate to this condition to any capacity.
I realized that after countless ER visits, two surgeries, finding new ways to be healthy, and continuing to learn more about myself, my passion for endometriosis shifted into recognizing my purpose for life. That is to continue to show people that no matter what they too can make it. I decided that as long as my mind and heart were open vessels, things would align in place. I’m April Christina will continue to encompass endometriosis. It will also include overall wellness, beauty, & navigating my life as a newlywed!
endoNme will ALWAYS be my baby. I understand now that it is just a fragment of who April-Christina is. No worries guys, you can always continue to view all endometriosis related things here. My fight for advocacy will never end. But like all things, after crawling, they then walk. I must walk into the purpose that I know God has destined for me. And to continue to share with you all the love and light in me!
